This remarkable organization is directly responsible for 34000 students and 75 schools  in the NYC boroughs.  The children are  scaling new heights due to the work and tenacity of New Visions. The education reform debate continues but New Visions persists in their fresh approaches.  They are moving graduation rates from 30— 50% to 90% in some schools.  We heard the stories of Fatima who has an individualized program and will get her HS diploma at almost 21 and will go to college in the fall of 2010. The story of Diego who entered HS with no English whatsoever but is now fluent and on a college track due to the teachers and personalized instruction of New Visions Schools.  This is a model program for cities all over the country.
